Evaluate safety of  transgenic potato contain cry1Ab gene and a near isogonics potato in a 90 day dietary study. Diet were formulated with 20% potato and mixed with other components and it balance by Nutrient Requirements of Laboratory Animals. Four Wistar rats of each sex were allotted to each treatments. In the end of experiment bloods were collected and then sacrificed. Hematology, clinical chemistry and pathology examination were conducted. All rats had a necropsy and selected organs were weighted.  Following 90 days of feeding, no adverse effects were observed between transgenic and non transgenic potato in healthy and all the parameters. This research demonstrated that diet contain 20% transgenic potato do not produce any untoward effects.
